Asking Questions (1) - 嗎

The most common way of asking questions is to add the word 嗎 (ma) at the end of a statement.

Once this word is attached to the end of a sentence, it will convert the statement into a question that should be replied by either "yes" or "no".

For Example:

你 懂 嗎 ? Ní Dǒng Ma ?	你 = you 懂 = understand	Do you understand?
是 他 嗎 ? Shì Tā Ma ?	是 = is 他 = he; him	Is it him?
這 樣 對 嗎 ? Zhè Yàng Duì Ma ?	這樣 = this way 對 = right; correct	Is this right?
今 天 天 氣 好 嗎 ? Jīn Tiān Tiān Qì Hǎo Ma ?	今天 = today 天氣 = weather 好 = good; nice	Is the weather nice today?
你 愛 看 電 影 嗎 ？ Nǐ Ài Kàn Diàn Yǐng Ma ?	你 = you 愛 = love 看 = watch; see 電影 = movie	Do you love watching movies?
